Marki McMillan, PhD., LCSW, has been in clinical practice for twenty-two years, specializing in psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families, and young adults struggling to launch. She was formerly a partner in the Gabbard Center, PLLC., where she and her colleagues performed multidisciplinary psychiatric evaluations for professionals in crisis and members of the community struggling with complicated mental health issues.
Dr. McMillan is a former Assistant Professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served from 2007- 2011 as the Director of the Clinical Social Work Education & Training program and the Director of Psychotherapy for the Harris County Community Behavioral Health program.
Additionally, she held adjunct faculty positions at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work from 2007-2016 and Smith College School for Social Work, where she served as a clinical consultant for the Doctoral Program.
Dr. McMillan holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work & and a PhD. in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts.
